Functional Muscle

For me, muscle building is all about building functional, usable muscle. Yet, so many people focus on exercises that isolate muscles. In reality, when we perform daily tasks or play sports we never use just one muscle. We incorporate multiple muscle groups or our whole body. When we pick up a box, we engage our legs, glutes, abs, arms, and back. When we play a sport we rely on all our muscles to coordinate and act together as efficiently and effectively as possible. When we workout we should follow the same premise that our muscles should be trained to become as functional as possible, and anyone can get a great workout without leaving their house or using any weight other than their own. I am not saying not to use weights or not to exercise outside their house, but it is easy for anyone to workout hard without leaving home. I am going to start posting some quick and intense workouts that I have done over the years, and as I find new ones I will post them as well. If anyone has any good workouts feel free to let me know about them, I'm always up for a new workout.
